This blog entry is about priorities. Every day I come across people I have successfully helped in the past and others who have an emotional or spiritual connection to me.

Many people, particularly those with roots in Mexico, India, South America or Northern Europe where homeopathy is a way of life, embrace it and know how powerful it is. North Americans are still in the dark about homeopathy. Some of this is the fault of the homeopathy community, because it has not spent the money to educate the public on the merits of homeopathy.
In my role I have contacted many insurance companies in my quest to get coverage for people and often their response is “If a person needs homeopathy, they can see a Naturopath”.
Well a naturopath is not a homeopathic practitioner, although there are some Naturopaths who will pursue additional studies to gain expertise in homeopathy. I used to be a visiting lecturer on homeopathy and iridology at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
If your family members were really sick or just a little sick wouldn’t you want to come up with the money to see a homeopathic practitioner? i.e.- somebody you believe in, have a connection with emotionally and spiritually and who has successfully treated you, your parents or friends? Because insurance will not cover homeopathy, you will take your chances with a stranger, and at this point I think priorities need to be examined.
In our culture today we easily spend $200 on a dress or on groceries or a dinner out but won’t spend that on homeopathy that can cure and prevent illnesses and put you on the path to self-actualization.
I acknowledge that there were times when for many reasons I didn’t put myself first. I felt I didn’t deserve to spend the money on myself, or I spent it on something to please someone else. This behaviour may have contributed to the illnesses I developed. I once suffered from fibromyalgia, mono, Epstein Bar, adrenal fatigue, Candida and irritable bowel syndrome. I was very sick and had no extended insurance coverage and money was extremely tight.
Not until I made MYSELF the priority, and borrowed and scrimped to pay for homeopathy, did I find any relief. I saw the best practitioners I knew, paid their fees and recuperated from all my afflictions in three months. It was money well spent to regain my health and wellbeing.
Whatever is in your heart and whatever you want is worth your while pursuing. So many people have money put away for a rainy day, fearful of the future.
We need to live in the now and take steps to get greater fulfillment out of life – it;’s possible with treatments that will heal you body and soul.
