Homemade Foot Pads to Detox Your Body Overnight

February 20, 2017 By Alex Gellman

Everyone needs to detox! The accumulation of harmful substances in our bodies leads to diseases and premature aging. Although the human body has a well-developed excretory system, eliminating the harmful compounds in the urine, feces and sweat, he cannot cope with the excess of substances from unhealthy food, water and air.

The effects of the accumulation of toxins in the body include: bad breath, sore feet and joints, weakness, constipation, headache, muscle aches and pains, insomnia, dizziness, constant fatigue and low immunity. If you struggle to get through the day, even if you’re sleeping well, this could be a sign that your body is working too hard to get rid of the toxins you’re pouring into it.

Due to the gravity and the bipedal position, toxins tend to accumulate in the feet. Detoxifying foot pads are the best solution to help the body fight heavy metals and toxins that build up over time. It is enough to look at the appearance of a pad after use – blackened, stiff, wet and grease – meaning that the toxins have drawn from your body overnight.

To make this foot pads at home you will need:

  • turmeric powder
  • ginger powder
  • green tea (dried leaves)
  • dry chamomile
  • paprika
  • grated lemon zest
  • water

Blend all ingredients crushing them to make a homogeneous mixture. Cut 10 pieces of gauze of size 4 x 2, 5 inch (they will be sufficient to achieve the two packages for detoxification). Cover with 2 layers of cheesecloth. This way you will achieve a detox package.

Just before bedtime attach these packages on the soles using gauze. You can also use plaster but be careful not to irritate the skin. Leave to act overnight, repeating the process for 7 days, every night. If you want to be sure that the pads won’t come off, you can put on a pair of socks.

Here are some of the advantages of this simple detox method:

  • Stimulates reflex points
  • Strengthens your immune system
  • Prevents chronic diseases
  • Improves sleep quality
  • Increases the ability to concentrate
  • Enhances the body
  • Slows down the aging process
  • Anti-stress effect
  • Prevents serious illness
  • Balances the pH
  • Stimulates body functions

USEFUL TIP: Before attaching the homemade foot pads it is recommended to massage the soles of the feet with a dry brush, making circular movements, then wash it with warm water. Dry brushing is a Russian technique that removes dead skin, stimulates cell growth, improves the nervous system and cleanses the lymphatic system.
