Benefits of coffee enemas

  • Cleanses and heals the colon
  • Detoxifies the liver and colon and help rebuild the liver
  • Improve digestion
  • Help eliminate many parasites
  • Reduce many types of pain in the body such as joint and muscle pain (as those in fibromyalgia)
  • Reduces intolerance to carbs
  • Reduces food allergies – coffee enemas increases food tolerance
  • Reduces brain fog, increases mental clarity, improve energy levels, increase joy and happiness
  • Decreases anxiety, depression, stress and reduces anger
  • Reduces the symptoms of chronic fatigue
  • Help with depression, confusion, and general nervous tension
  • Increase mental clarity, improve energy levels, increase joy and happiness, improve digestion, and reduce anger
  • Enable clients to get through difficult healing and purification reactions.

How it Works

Caffeine and palmitates (chemicals in coffee) work synergistically to stimulate and cleanse the liver and blood. The caffeine is absorbed through the bowel wall, without entering the digestive tract via blood vessels, and makes its way directly to the liver.

The caffeine exposure causes the liver’s portal veins and the bile ducts to expand which increases the release of diluted toxic bile. The enema fluid triggers peristalsis (intestinal muscle contractions) that removes the wastes from the body.

Palmitates in the coffee stimulate and increase the production of a liver enzyme called glutathione-S-transferase (GST), which removes free radicals and cancer cells from the bloodstream and facilitates detoxification of the liver. As a result of the enema the liver becomes less congested with debris, which makes room for filtering of more bodily toxins.

Ideally, the coffee enema should be retained for twelve to fifteen minutes during which time the body’s blood supply circulates and passes through the liver approximately five times (every three minutes). Since the blood serum is detoxified as it flows through the caffeinated liver across the colon wall.

Note: drinking coffee has not the same therapeutic benefits and is in fact counter-productive.

Enema Procedure

  1. Brew up 4 cups of distilled or filtered water with ideally organic coffee but not necessary

The enema coffee is made by adding three tablespoons of drip-grind (ideally organic) coffee to 4 cups of boiling distilled or filtered water. After boiling uncovered for three minutes, the mixture is covered and simmered for fifteen more minutes. Hot water is added to replace what was lost through boiling. The solution is then strained and allowed to cool to body temperature.

     Use an enema bag.

  1. Ideally let the coffee cool for an hour before use
  2. Fill the enema bag with ½ of your coffee and half distilled water (bag 1)
  3. Bag 2 same as above (3)
  4. Bag 3 just filtered water
  5. Bag 4 just filtered water
  6. Bag 5 just filtered water
  • Massage castor oil on the abdomen and rub as you do the procedures
  • Take probiotic after the protocol
  • Breathe deeply and connect to the areas you feel pressure and discomfort
  • Get in touch with the emotion you buried there and let it go.

Frequency

Do the enemas no more than once a week unless otherwise advised by a healthcare practitioner.

How to Administer the Coffee Enema

When preparing to take the enema, it is best to empty the colon first.

Hang the prepared solution in the enema bag at least 12 to 18 inches above the waist. The higher the bag, the more pressure and the faster it will enter the body.

First, release clamp and allow some coffee out to remove air from the tube, re-clamp.

Lubricate tip and rectum with castor oil. Then lie on your right side in bath tub, or on your hands and knees, or stand bent at the waist, whichever is most comfortable then slowly insert the tip with a side to side motion to bypass the transverse rectal folds (rectal valves see the image above).

The individual should have a comfortable place to lie down for the administering of the enema. It’s best to lie on the right side with legs pulled up towards the chest.

Caffeine-sensitive individuals can easily use the enema without ill effects provided the enema bag or bucket is not placed more than eighteen inches above the end of the insertion tube, to prevent systemic absorption of the caffeine.

If retaining the enema for twelve to fifteen minutes is too difficult, then a series of two or three enemas of shorter duration may be tried. Over time, it becomes easier to retain the enema for the full fifteen minute interval. Holding for more than fifteen minutes is not recommended since the caffeine may be absorbed systemically.

Pour the coffee into the enema bag. Loosen the clamp to allow the coffee to run out to the end of the catheter tip and re-clamp the bag when all the air has been removed from the enema tubing.

Use a coat hanger to hang the enema bag at least two feet above the floor; on a door knob or towel rack. The bucket can rest on a chair, shelf or be held. Do not hang it high, as on a shower head, because it will be too forceful and the hose won’t reach. It should flow very gently into the rectum and distal sigmoid colon only. It is not a high enema or colonic. Allowing it to go well up into the colon may introduce caffeine into the general circulation as though you had taken it by mouth.

Lie down on the floor on your back or right side and gently insert the catheter. If you need lubrication, food grade vegetable oil such as olive oil or a vitamin E capsule should be fine. Avoid petroleum products.

Gently insert the tube into the rectum a few inches and then release the clamp and let the first 1/2 of the quart (2 cups maximum) of coffee flow in. Clamp the tubing off as soon as there is the slightest amount of discomfort or fullness. Do not change positions or use an incline board to cause the enema to enter further into the colon; this defeats the purpose of this type of enema.

Try to retain the enema for a minimum of 12 or more minutes. Sometimes there will be an immediate urgency to get rid of it and that is fine. It helps to clean the stool out of the colon so that next time around you can hold more of the enema longer. Never force yourself to retain it if you feel that you can’t. When you have clamped the tubing, remove the catheter tip and void when you have to. It is best to hold it for at least 12 minutes each time. After you have emptied the bowel, proceed with the remaining 1/2 quart and likewise hold that for at least 12 minutes, if able, then void.

Caution

If you feel wired or hyper, or have palpitations or irregular heartbeats after a coffee enema, you should reduce the amount of coffee, usually by half for few weeks. Or consider that you really need organic coffee. Be sure the source of your water is good clean chemical-free spring, well, distilled or filtered water.

Always discontinue the enemas if there is any adverse reaction whatsoever and discuss it with your health care provider.
